Foundation piecing is a good way to get nice sharp points and deal with small pieces of fabric like you use in miniature quilts. If you need help in this area, then the March 9th program presented by our own Judy Smith is for YOU.
Here is what program chair Shelia R. had to say—-
Our program for this month is Paper-Piecing by Judy Smith. Judy is a great instructor and Paper-Piecer. She will doing a demonstration after our business meeting is complete. She will be available for anyone who wants to practice afterwards.
Bring your machine and basic sewing supplies. In addition to the basics, some other items which would be helpful are-
- 28 mm rotary cutter
- small cutting mat
- small iron and ironing surface
- 1 x 12 ruler or add-a-quarter ruloer
- Judy will have a handout plus a few scraps but you can bring a few small scraps of your own and practice more.
Be sure to bring your imagination and all your questions for Judy. This is your chance to practice and improve your confidence in Paper Piecing. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday
