Pictures? We have your pictures here!

Did you know that our wonderful historian Beth S takes pictures at all our guild meetings and sew-in’s?  Not only that she maintains the guild scrap books that are available at each and every meeting among our library items.

We may not always have time during the meetings to give those scrapbooks a look but there are a couple of other options!!

Beth maintains a Facebook page comprised of the monthly and event albums.  Go to and search for “Friendship Quilters Guild Alabama” and then “like” the page   Maybe the easiest way would be to “Like” us on Facebook directly from this web page—-see in the column to the right of this post!  You have a picture featured at a particular month’s show and tell?  Point your friends and family on over to take a look!

I can hear you saying “but I don’t have/ don’t want a facebook account.”  Beth took that into account and you have another option!  She has set up a private page on .  You will need to provide Beth with your email address in order for her to hook you up. She will provide the email address.  A shutterfly account will need to be set up as well.  Once there you can download and even order prints and picture books but there are other sections on site such a guild calendar, message boards that you may find useful.  You can also print up your own personal digital pictures with a shutterfly account.

I know I enjoyed seeing the albums from the 2009 and 2011 quilt shows but it is fun to look back at the show and tell items too!  That is my favorite part of the meetings but since I am the present secretary I don’t always get to see the quilts when I am busy recording the “who” and “what”.

Just thought you might want to know!  Till next time——-
