Welcome!  We’re so glad you stopped by!

Join us on Wednesday for our Sew Days (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm CST) and on the second Saturday of each month for our guild meetings (9:30 a.m.).  Both include fellowship & fun! We’d love to meet you!

Our monthly meetings include educational programs;  for 2014, a Block of the Month [BOM]; Fat Quarter [FQ] drawing and Show & Tell (bring your latest projects and brag about them).   We have Show & Tell at 9:30 and a short business meeting at 10:00 followed by a planned program.

Because the guild is actively involved with the 4-H program to teach a quilting section to 4th and 5th graders in the counties’  grade schools, additional sewing days are often scheduled on Mondays at the same location.  This is usually in the fall months and will be announced in the newsletter.  In past years we have prepared hundreds and hundreds of potholders for the children to practice their stitching and hand quilting.

Special events throughout the year include sew-ins, retreats, bi-annual quilt show (March 8, 2014) and various community service projects.

Our guild meetings and sew days are held at the Ernest White Community Center on the corner of 16th Street, South & 10th Avenue, across from Duran South School in Pell City, Alabama.

Directions: Take I-20 to Exit 158.  Travel south on US 231 to 19th St.  Turn right on 19th St and travel approximately 4 miles to 16th Street.  Turn left and go two blocks to 10th Avenue.  The Community Center is the grey brick building on your right.
